Heart Failure became a division in 2021 after splitting from Electrophysiology and Cardiac Rhythm Management. Its pulmonary arterial monitoring and LVAD technology came via Abbott’s 2017 acquisition of St. Jude, which had acquired CardioMEMS and Thoratec.
